Webflow Hosting Pricing and Alternatives Compared (2026)

WebflowHostingAlternativesStatic Hosting

Webflow hosting costs $15 a month per site for Basic and $25 for Premium billed yearly ($25 and $39 monthly, October 2026), and every site needs its own Site plan. To host a Webflow site elsewhere, export the code (a paid Workspace plan, from $16 a month billed yearly) and pick a host that keeps your URLs and takes redirect rules; Cloudflare and Netlify do both, free within their limits. Sites in Freelancer and Agency Workspaces reprice at their first renewal or billable change on or after November 16, 2026 (what that means for client sites). I reckon the Designer earns its keep; if you'd rather leave that as well, start with Webflow alternatives.

How much does Webflow hosting cost in 2026?

Webflow hosting plans are sold one site at a time: Basic costs $15 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly) and Premium $25 ($39 monthly), per webflow.com/pricing in October 2026. The Starter limits below also draw on the help centre's Choose a Site plan article.

Premium$25/mo$39/moYes30050 GB/mo; add-ons up to 2.5 TB/mo20,000 items, 40 Collections

If a page quotes $14 or $18 for Basic, or prices for "CMS" or "Business" plans, it's describing the old line-up: Premium replaced the CMS and Business Site plans for new purchases on May 13, 2026, and most existing CMS and Business sites move to it at their next renewal or billable change on or after June 29, or on or after November 16 for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces.

Advanced$212/mo$235/mo100 GB/mo15,0000%

Webflow does do hosting, and it bundles a fair amount with it: SSL, a global CDN and form handling come with every Site plan, Basic adds 301 redirects and site or page password protection, and Premium adds site search and code components. Starter won't take a custom domain and Basic has no CMS, so a client site on its own domain starts at Basic, and one with a single Collection starts at Premium.

Why Webflow hosting bills are hard to predict

Two things about a Webflow bill are genuinely hard to predict:

  • Prices change at renewal or billable change. The 2026 increase reached each site on its own date (switching plan or billing cycle counts), so last year's quote to a client may not match the next invoice.
  • Going over bandwidth can change the plan. On Basic and Premium, surge protection absorbs a temporary spike, but two consecutive months over the limit trigger an automatic plan upgrade. Buying the headroom instead costs $20 a month billed yearly, or $30 monthly, to take Premium from 50 GB to 100 GB (October 2026).

The rest is predictable enough, just hard to keep track of across a client book:

  • Every site is billed on its own. No plan covers a book of client sites, so ten sites means ten Site plans and up to ten renewal dates.
  • Monthly billing costs a good deal more. Basic is 67% dearer on monthly billing ($25 against $15) and Premium 56% dearer ($39 against $25), so a client who won't commit to a year pays handsomely for the privilege.
  • The Workspace plan sits on top. Client work adds one, billed separately from every Site plan: Freelancer is $16 a month billed yearly, or $24 monthly (October 2026).

Put together, a small studio running three or four client sites on Premium pays $900 to $1,200 a year on yearly billing, or $1,404 to $1,872 on monthly, before the Workspace plan and before any site goes over its bandwidth.

What do you give up when you host a Webflow export elsewhere?

You give up everything that runs on Webflow's servers, and you keep paying for the exporter: code export needs a paid Workspace plan (Core, Growth, Freelancer or Agency), so every re-export after a Designer change keeps that plan on the bill. The rest comes down to what each missing piece costs to replace on the new host, as of October 2026:

  • Forms: Formspree's Free plan covers 50 submissions a month, though Formspree labels it "For testing and development"; Netlify Forms costs no credits if the site lives on Netlify (October 2026).
  • Password protection: Netlify Pro at $20 a month, Vercel Pro plus $20 a month per protected project, or Cloudflare Access's email login.
  • 301 redirects: a redirect file on Cloudflare, Netlify or Vercel; the other hosts in the table below can't run them.
  • Site search: a third-party search tool.
  • CMS content and code components: a rebuild, since Collections leave as CSV files, the exported Collection pages are empty templates and Premium's code components don't export at all.
  • Ecommerce: nothing static replaces it.

The sitemap, robots.txt and secondary locales stay behind too, and the runbook has the full table of what the export leaves behind. For a brochure site with a contact form, it's a short shopping list.

Webflow hosting alternatives compared (October 2026)

For a live Webflow export, Cloudflare and Netlify host a client site free within their limits, and Hostsmith puts several client sites on one plan; all three serve about.html at /about (October 2026).

The catch with each, as of October 2026:

  • Cloudflare: New projects are steered towards Workers rather than Pages. A Worker deploys with the Wrangler CLI or, through Workers Builds, from a connected GitHub or GitLab repo (still with a Wrangler config), and the dashboard around it is built for DNS and security work as much as hosting. Pages still accepts a ZIP dragged into the dashboard, with a 25 MiB cap per file, but that project can't move to Git later.
  • Netlify: Deploys, bandwidth and web requests draw on the same monthly credits (worked through in the cost section below), while form submissions don't use credits at all (October 2026). Netlify Drop alternatives covers its drag-and-drop side.
  • Vercel: For a single site, Pro costs more than Webflow Basic billed yearly ($20 against $15). Pro has no project limit, so a solo freelancer's one $20 seat can deploy every client project; anyone else who deploys needs their own seat, all projects share the team's included usage, and each password-protected project adds $20 a month (October 2026). Vercel alternatives has the wider picture.
  • GitHub Pages: GitHub's terms rule out running an online business on it, a private repo needs a paid plan, and there's nowhere to put a redirect or a password; GitHub Pages alternatives picks up from there.

Will your Webflow URLs still work on the new host?

They will if the new host serves the export's about.html at /about, and every host in the table can, Vercel only with cleanUrls turned on. Webflow answered at /about, but the ZIP holds a file called about.html, and the clean address is the one search results and backlinks point at. Netlify's docs describe its Pretty URLs differently from what the October test showed, so test your own export wherever it goes. Only Cloudflare, Netlify and Vercel can take on the 301s in Webflow's redirects CSV. Run the URL check on the preview first, then move the domain before the Site plan runs out so the old site stays up as a fallback; the same runbook covers when to cancel the Site plan.

How much does it cost to host a Webflow export elsewhere?

Hosting the export can cost $0 on Cloudflare's or Netlify's free plans, but a fair comparison counts the Workspace plan you keep for re-exports, and for a single site the gain is mostly predictability rather than a smaller bill. One site over three years first:

Hosting one Webflow site for 3 years, October 2026 prices.

One site, 3 yearsBilled yearlyBilled monthly
Webflow Basic$540$900
Webflow Premium$900$1,404
Export + Cloudflare or Netlify Free$0$0
Freelancer Workspace for re-exports (add to every row except the Webflow ones, unless you already pay for one)$576$864

For one Basic site, the export route only saves money if you already pay for a Workspace, or if you export once and stop; otherwise $576 of Freelancer costs more than the $540 Basic plan it replaced. The Premium rows compare like for like only if the site is on Premium for its bandwidth, or its CMS is small enough to rebuild from the CSV; otherwise add the rebuild to the export side. Forms can stay at $0 too, within the free-plan limits listed earlier.

Across a client book, the sums change:

Hosting five client sites for a year, October 2026 prices.

Five client sites, per yearBilled yearlyBilled monthly
5 x Webflow Basic$900$1,500
5 x Webflow Premium$1,500$2,340
Export + Cloudflare or Netlify Free$0$0
1 x Hostsmith Pro: one bill for all five, as long as they fit inside Pro's 50 GB of monthly bandwidth, 100,000 monthly visitors and 500 MB of storage$180$252
Freelancer Workspace for re-exports (add to every row except the Webflow ones, unless you already pay for one)$192$288

If you already design client sites in a Freelancer Workspace, that last row sits on both sides of the sum and drops out.

The free rows are where predictability needs a closer look. Netlify Free's 300 credits a month cover, for example, 10 production deploys at 15 credits each (150), 6 GB of bandwidth at 20 a GB (120) and 150,000 web requests at 2 per 10,000 (30). Once an account's credits are used up, Netlify pauses all of its projects until the next billing cycle or an upgrade, and a paused site takes no traffic and no form submissions, so the client's contact form goes quiet along with everything else. Cloudflare doesn't charge for static asset requests at all, so its $0 is the lowest figure in the table (October 2026).

When should you stay on Webflow hosting?

Stay when the sums say so, and for a single Basic site on yearly billing with no Workspace already paid for, they do: $540 over three years on Webflow against $576 for the Freelancer plan you'd keep for re-exports (October 2026 prices). Stay, too, if the site runs Ecommerce, if the client edits it themselves (since the Legacy Editor was retired in August 2026 they do that with a client seat, and an export sends every change back to you), or if the CMS is the site; Webflow vs WordPress covers when a CMS-heavy site has outgrown Premium, and Framer vs Webflow covers outgrowing the Designer instead.

I reckon the ones worth moving are brochure sites, portfolios and campaign pages that change a few times a year, especially those on Premium or monthly billing in a Workspace you already pay for; the yearly Basic site with no Workspace behind it, and anything a client edits every week, I'd leave where it is. For that first group, the export route is the boring, sensible option, and I mean that as a compliment.

Where Hostsmith fits

Hostsmith (disclosure: we make it) is the one-bill option: Pro is $15/month billed yearly ($21 monthly) for five sites with custom domains, 50 GB of monthly bandwidth and 500 MB of storage (October 2026), with one renewal date for all five instead of a Site plan each. You drag the exported ZIP in, and Private Sites puts the preview behind a password or email whitelist, from Starter.

Moving an export onto it takes four steps:

  1. Create a site and drag in the exported ZIP. It goes live on a hostsmith.link address.
  2. Run the URL check against that address.
  3. On Pro, add the client's domain and create the DNS records shown in the site settings.
  4. Once the certificate has issued, run the URL check again on the live domain.

For a change, re-export and replace the site's files by uploading the new ZIP from the dashboard. Past five client sites, Agency covers 25 sites with their own domains for $49 a month billed yearly ($59 monthly, October 2026).

Frequently asked questions

Can I host my Webflow site for free?

On Webflow, only on a webflow.io address: the free Starter plan takes no custom domain and limits a site to 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth and 1,000 monthly visits (October 2026). Export the code, which needs a paid Workspace plan from $16 a month billed yearly (October 2026), and Cloudflare or Netlify will host it free on your own domain, Netlify within 300 credits a month. GitHub's terms bar running an online business on Pages, and Vercel's Hobby tier is non-commercial only, so neither suits a client site.

Where are Webflow sites hosted?

Webflow sites are served through Cloudflare's CDN on AWS infrastructure (October 2026); Webflow's hosting page describes it as combining "the power of AWS infrastructure with Cloudflare's global CDN", so a write-up that still says Fastly is out of date. One knock-on if you're tidying up an older site: since January 13, 2026, per Webflow's help centre, you can't publish to a custom domain that still points at Webflow's legacy DNS records, so the site stays live but every publish is blocked until the records are updated.

Can I use my own domain without a Webflow Site plan?

Yes, if you export the code and host it elsewhere, though the export itself needs a paid Workspace plan (Freelancer is the cheapest at $16 a month billed yearly, October 2026). Without exporting, a custom domain needs Webflow's Basic plan or higher, from $15 a month billed yearly (October 2026).

Will my URLs still work after leaving Webflow hosting?

Yes, as long as the new host answers /about with the exported about.html and you rebuild Webflow's 301s from the redirects CSV. Cloudflare, Netlify and Hostsmith all answer /about that way (October 2026), and the host table above shows which take redirect rules; check every sitemap URL on the preview before the domain moves.

Does Webflow hosting have a bandwidth limit?

Yes. Per webflow.com/pricing in October 2026, Starter gets 1 GB a month, Basic 10 GB and Premium 50 GB, which add-ons can take up to 2.5 TB; the Ecommerce plans get 50 GB on Standard and 100 GB on Plus and Advanced. On Basic and Premium, surge protection absorbs a short spike, but two consecutive months over the limit trigger an automatic plan upgrade.

Is self-hosting Webflow worth it?

"Self host Webflow" isn't quite the right framing: you can't run the Designer yourself, but you can host its exported output anywhere. For a site on Premium for its bandwidth or for a small blog, it can be: $900 over three years on yearly billing (October 2026) against $0 to host the export on Cloudflare or Netlify Free, plus $576 for a Freelancer Workspace if you keep re-exporting. The other gain is no Webflow repricing at renewal, though any host can change its own prices. For Ecommerce or CMS-driven sites, no; rebuilding those costs more than the hosting ever will.
